Description

Travel/Tournament baseball has become more and more common each year with youth baseball as it encourages a more competitive baseball. Buckland would like to open this opportunity to Buckland Rec players that are not currently part of a tourney/travel team. This year we will be piloting our tournament team with the Minor League baseball level. We have registered for the following tournaments in hopes of collecting 12 kids to attend.

Wapak Baseball Classic

School Team Tournament

age by March 1st, born on or before 03/01/2015.

Friday May 29th to Sunday May 31st.

2026 Bath “Best of the Northwest” Tournament

School Team Tournament

age by March 1st, born on or before 03/01/2015.

Saturday June 13th and Sunday June 14th.

How it works.

Coaches

A Tournament Coach will be selected by the board and will not be one of the current Minor League coaches. The current Minor League coaches will be asked to coach also, up to 3 (4 total). The Tournament coach reports to the Buckland Rec board and will be responsible for registering and organizing the tournaments. Any coaching concerns can be brought to the board if needed.

Players

Players will register for each tournament that they are able and willing to attend by April 10 @ www.bucklandrec.com. The tournament coach and assistants will select at least 12 players to play in each tournament within __ days of the tournament. There will not be a try-out or evaluation, your coaches will evaluate each practice and the tournament coach will visit at least two practices or games for each team. Note: as this is a Rec Baseball Organization, we are trying to open this opportunity to players who are not currently on a travel/elite team. Travel/elite players are welcome to play if an open roster spot exists.

Practice

Tournament practice will be Friday or Saturday based on weather and schedule. All players who sign up for the tournament team are allowed to attend Tournament practices. Practice to start at least 30 days prior to the first tournament.

Cost

$40 payable within 10 days of notice they are playing to Buckland Rec per player per tournament. Not selected, no payment.
